Tutankhamun a fascinating Pharaoh

The reign of one of the most famous Pharaoh was really brief and not especially glorious. The mystery started when his tomb and the incredible treasure was discovered by the archeologist Howard Carter in 1922. The latest became a huge star of his time from the find. After the death of various scientists a few weeks after the tomb’s discovery, the myth of the cursed Pharaoh was born. More than 100 years later,  this exhibition in Paris still provokes quite an enthusiasm.

Some artifacts leaving Egypt for the very first time

Exclusively for this exhibition in Paris on Tutankhamun, more than 150 objects are displayed and 60 have been loaned by Egypt for the first time. These artifacts carry on the Pharaoh’s memory and immortality. Indeed the Egyptians during those times considered death as a new beginning. For this long journey, the deceased had to be surrounded by a lot of funeral artifacts for his journey into the next life. Among these objects, you could find his coffin and sarcophagus decorated with precious stones such as lapis lazuli, vases covered with hieroglyph or images of the young Pharaoh.
