Tablao Flamenco Cordobes: Spanish culture brought to light in Barcelona

Spain is a country that makes us dream when it comes to taste Iberian delights. But Spain is much more than food, it’s also the country to party, sing, and dance! And nowhere like Barcelona to see for yourself, on the famous avenue La Rambla. It’s here you’re going to find your final destination – Tablao Flamenco Cordobes.

Located in the heart of Catalan’s capital city, this historical showplace perfectly matches the art of dance with classic Spanish cuisine in the space of an evening.

A mythical spot in Barcelona: Tablao Flamenco Cordobes

In Spanish, a tablao is a place exclusively dedicated to Flamenco shows. In 1970 an artist family, Luis and Irene Adame, founded the Tablao Flamenco Cordobes that would soon become a Catalan institution. In a good time, many prestigious Flamenco performers danced in this historic tablao. Barcelona has evolved, especially after the 1992 Olympics games, but Tablao Flamenco Cordobes remains faithful to its origins, and the neighborhoods are still authentic Catalan culture.

Nowadays, María Rosa Pérez Casares (daughter of the creators), is the CEO of the Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, managing the property with her family. Together they maintain the historical tradition while introducing new styles in each new show.

Discover Flamenco during a dinner show: one of the most original activities in Barcelona

If you’re looking to taste genuine Catalan and Spanish culture, it’s here at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, where you can see why UNESCO put flamenco on it’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010.

In addition to the show, you’ll be among both locals and visitors enjoying rich local wines and 44 different Spanish and Catalan cuisine specialties. You can travel all of Spain through Chef Jordi Narro’s gastronomic menu, savoring a Valenciana paella, calamari from Cadix or gazpacho Andaluz among his other signature dishes.

Try a local  Catalonian dish of Butifarra amb seques (a Catalan sausage served with navy beans) and finish your meal relishing chocolate churros from Madrid. Vegetarians have a wide selection of entrees on the menu too.
